Education and Inspiration through the ancient art of storytelling!

Within the pages of this website you will find Stories, Lesson Plans, Poetry and Articles that celebrate history and science through stories and poems.
There are ideas to help you strengthen your voice, motivate and instruct your students, and climb higher into your family tree.
There are also Books, CDs, and DVDs, for sale as well as stories to listen to and share with your friends.
My goal is to inspire folks to awaken to a deeper understanding of who they are within their relationship to human history and the natural world around them. I hope to evoke the storyteller within you.
Storytelling Performances are always entertaining, but offer something more, an opportunity to breathe together, laugh, and touch life more deeply. My Workshops are grounded in practical skill development and geared towards building the self esteem that comes with finding your voice and adding your voice to the choir of humanity!
I am also on the committee organizing The Pimiteoui Storytelling Festival: A Rendez-vous of Cultures. Plan to bring your family April 5, 2008 to the Peoria Public Library for this exciting FREE event!

Prairie Folklore Theatre finally has a home! We have just negotiated a long term lease of the G.A.R. Hall in Downtown Peoria. This gorgeous Beaux Arts style building was built by and for veterans of the Grand Army of the Republic, the victors in America's Civil War. It has been lovingly restored and cared for by the Central Illinois Landmark Foundation. The building will celebrate its centennial in 2009 and our plans include a series of concerts, theatrical presentations, a Civil War Research Center and Museum. We are planning exhibits on Abraham lincoln in Central Illinois and the Underground Railroad in Peoria. Please Contact Fox if you would like to be involved.
Fox is hosting an intensive, three day workshop July 29, 30, 31, 2008 on Storytelling in Education at his lake house near Galesburg, Illinois. If you are interested in attending please Contact Fox to register. Space is limited.
