Education and Inspiration through the ancient art of storytelling!
I need to tell you this great story. As a teacher I am always trying out new materials on my kids. I went to pop your cd into the car - I should specify that it was your Lincoln cd and my kids are about lincolned out as I have been doing two major projects on Lincoln this summer. Well my eleven year old son started groaning - no mom can't we just listen to 105.5 - the hip hop station. I said - ok but let's listen to one story on the cd first. HE was hooked!! We listened to the cd the whole ride and back!! Then the next day I was giving some of his 11 and 12 year old friends a ride to their ball game. As soon as I turned on the car the cd started playing and being a good mom - not wanting my kid's friends to think I am not a cool mom - I popped it out. Wesley started screaming - no mom this is cool I want them to hear this. It was the quitest car ride I had had for quite some time as all of his friends started really enjoying the stories as well!! I plan to use your stuff to teach writing in my classroom this year and I can't wait until you come to Robeson!!!
